Your gift to RMHC of Nashville allows us to “keep families close” by providing essential resources and a “home away from home” for families of critically ill children receiving inpatient or outpatient medical care at Nashville area hospitals.
Our annual budget is more than $1,000,000 per year, and 100% of our program and operational funding is raised through the community from individuals, corporations, private foundations and organizations. Although we receive financial contributions from local McDonalds Owner/Operators, those funds are designated only to our capital expenses.
There are many ways you can help us help families in need, and we appreciate every donation! You can donate online through our various programs. If you have questions or want more information please contact Ronald McDonald House Charities of Nashville at (615) 343-4000.
Help us continue to provide a home away from home for families of critically ill children by making a general donation.
A gift in memory or in honor of a loved one is truly a living tribute. It honors the person and is an investment in the lives of the families of ill or injured children. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers or gifts to help celebrate holidays, birthdays, or other special occasions. A personal acknowledgement of your generosity will be sent to the recipient of your designation. Click here to make a donation in honor or in memory of a loved one today.
We ask families who stay in our House to pay a $15 per night, per family fee, but almost 70% of families cannot afford to pay even a portion of that fee. The actual cost per room is more than $83 per night. No one is ever turned away regardless of his or her ability to pay and we rely solely on the community to raise 100% of our operational costs which include the cost to provide housing for 32 families each night. Click here to read how you can assist a family staying at the Ronald McDonald House with our Share-a-Night program.
Honor or remember someone special by adding a leaf to the Ronald McDonald House Giving Tree. For a donation of $250.00 or more, you can honor or remember a loved one with a gold leaf engraved with your loved one's name that will be placed on our Giving Tree. The hand-painted Giving Tree is located in the dinning area of our House, and is an ever-present tribute. You can support our Giving Tree program by filling out the online Giving Tree Donation Form.

S.O.S. Sponsors support the Ronald McDonald Family Room by providing a $500 donation to underwrite one month of snacks, beverages, and supplies for the more than 2,500 individuals who visit our Family Room each month. As a Sponsor, your name will be displayed in the Family Room as the "S.O.S. Sponsor of the Month".
The Family Room is an extension of the Ronald McDonald House located on the Pediatric Critical Care Unit of the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Anyone whose child is receiving treatment at Children’s Hospital is welcome to visit the Family Room. This room is a place where families from far and near can enjoy a quiet respite from corridors and waiting rooms, whether or not they’re staying at the Nashville Ronald McDonald House.
The facility is a beautifully furnished area that offers parents, siblings and even sick children a place to rest, relax, talk, get a snack, or make a private telephone call away from the busy and often crowded hospital. The Family Room features a living area with television, a half bath, a full kitchen with snacks and is manned by caring volunteers and part-time staff from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily. Click here for a donation form to be a S.O.S. Sponsor.
The Ronald McDonald Family Room is located on the 5th floor (Pediatric Critical Care Unit) of the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. The Family Room is a place where families can come to relax and have something to eat and drink when they feel they just need to walk away from the bedside but still need to be close to their child. Through the FUEL for Families program, we hope to offer an additional service to serve a nutritious meal once a month to every individual with a child being treated at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. Because Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt has strict guidelines about serving meals within the hospital, we have found vendors who will work with us to keep costs between $7.50 per person for each meal, or an average of $1,500 per meal.
We hope to provide a nutritious meal at least once a month to an average of 200 individuals whose children are being treated at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. Each meal will serve at least 200 individuals who need nourishment as well as the emotional support of taking a break and meeting other families whose children are being treated at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. Ultimately, the FUEL for Families program will enable parents and siblings of sick children to be more supportive of their sick relatives. Click here for a FUEL For Families donation form.

Watch a video about the Pull Tab Program.
Individuals, schools, churches, clubs, and businesses can join in the effort in helping others. All you have to do is remove the little tab from any type of can. The aluminum in that little tab is more sanitary and worth more than the whole can. It takes approximately 900 tabs to make a pound, so start collecting today! We are always very excited to receive household items that our families can use. (A wish list will be provided upon request) Groups or individuals may establish a drop off point and/or set up a drive to encourage donations. Download the lastest House Wish List and Family Room Wish List.
