Ronald McDonald House Charities of Nashville provides compassionate hospitality and support to patients' families while they are providing care and support to their sick child.
The Ronald McDonald House welcomes groups and volunteers to come up with kid and/or adult-friendly activities that can help family members relax and reduce their stress if only for an hour or two. We invite you to lead a group of House Guests in activities that focus on playtime with the children, providing recreation on a regular basis. Some of our ongoing activities include: Ice Cream Parties, Movie Night, Themed Parties, Cookie Baking & Decorating, Scrap-Booking, Free Haircuts, Arts & Crafts for children and adults, and Pet Therapy with certified pet therapy dogs, just to name a few.
Our families also enjoy receiving tickets to attend local museums, the Nashville Zoo, sporting events (Nashville Sounds, Nashville Predators, Titans, Nashville Superspeedway, collegiate sporting events) and movies.
Holidays are also a great time to provide House Guests with an outlet to forget that they are away from home and enjoy the spirit of the holiday. From July 4th parades to Halloween costume parades and trick-or-treating, no idea is too outrageous.
