House Rules

SMOKING
There will be NO smoking in the House. Smoking is allowed only on the smoking porch upstairs.

FOOD AND DRINK
Eating is permitted in the kitchens and dining room ONLY. You may have drinks on the smoking porch upstairs.

FORBIDDEN ITEMS
All federal, state, and local laws will be obeyed. Firearms, weapons, alcoholic beverages, street drugs, or other controlled substances are not allowed on the premises. Nor will a resident be under the influences of these substances while on the premises.

QUIET HOURS
Quiet hours will be observed from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. daily, including weekends.

CHILDREN
A parent or guardian will supervise children under the age of 15 at all times. No babysitting or childcare services are provided.

SHOES
Shoes will be worn at all times while a resident is outside of his or her room.

SIGN-IN SHEET
Residents will sign the Daily Sign-In Sheet, located in the House lobby each day.

HOUSEKEEPING
Residents will be responsible for cleaning up after themselves and their guests in every room of the House. Room inspections may occur at the House Manager’s discretion.

GENERAL CONDUCT
Residents will treat all staff, volunteers, guests, and other residents with courtesy and respect and will honor any reasonable request made of them by a Manager or other staff person.

NOTIFY A MANAGER:
- Before bringing anyone in the House whose name does not appear on the registration sheet
- If you will be absent from the House for more than 24 hours
- If you need to stay at the House for more than 30 days.
- When your child is moved to a room in the hospital, you must check out of your RMHC room

VISITORS
- Visiting Hours are from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. All visitors must abide by all rules also.
- All visitors must sign the visitor register, wear visitor badge, and be accompanied by a guest family member.
- You are responsible for your visitors.

These House rules have been put in place to ensure the safety of all our families. At time of check-in, families will be provided a list of the rules to review and sign. Families found to be in violation of any House rules will lose their privilege to stay at the House.
